Description--Front	View of towpath, canal, and lock [#55] in Lyons, New York photographed from the towpath looking down the canal toward the trestle bridge and the lock. Dilapidated wooden fence and low wooden buildings line the towpath on the near side. A field and house, possibly a farm house, are visible behind the buildings. Brick and woodframe commercial and residential buildings, many two- and three-story, fill what is visible of the far side. A canal boat is visible on the far bank.
