Dear Mrs. Quinton:
The exhibiton closes here on Satruday the 19th. It has been very successful, and I have interested the artists and the critics very much in the reports which have come concerning the show from the different museums, and particularly from your place. I am sure that the attitude of the artists toward sending their best things on the jour-ney around the country has changed somewhat, and their disposition in the future will be to send the best instead of the poorer things. Thank you so much for what you have done to contribute to this, both by your enthusiasm and your activity.
In regard to the Watson and Schnaken-berg pictures, they will be shipped immediately at the close of the show. I understand, of couse, that the Schnakenberg picture goes to the Museum. I have assured Mr. Schnakenberg of this and also Mrs. Henry, Mrs. Whitney's daughter, who wanted to buy The Mullen Plant before the exhibiton left here. She, of couse, whould have bought it at the original price. Mr. Schnakenberg has been very sensible about it and
